Folsom Heating & Air Replacement - Gas to High Efficient, All Electric Conversion
This project was a 2-Story, 2,766 sq. ft. home in Folsom. Their existing heating & air system was on it’s last leg. The homeowners also wanted to move away from a gas furnace to a higher efficiency all electric heating and air system. Luckily for them, SMUD was offering a $3,000 Rebate for the gas to electric conversion!
We addressed multiple issues on this project:
Undersized HVAC System
Air flow issues due to poor duct routing & sizing
Inefficient system partly due to traditional zoning (splitting the air flow between upstairs/down)
To address these issues, qualify for the rebate and give the homeowners a great product, we installed a Variable Speed All Electric Daikin VRV Inverter Heat Pump with (2), that’s right, two variable speed indoor units, running off of one variable speed outdoor unit. That means that the upstairs & downstairs each had their own truly unique zone, without the cost of installing (2) completely new HVAC Systems. The indoor units operate completely separate of each other, so that if only the upstairs needs heat or a/c, the outdoor unit will only work as hard as it needs to. Also, if both upstairs and downstairs need plenty of A/C during our 6-month long Sacramento Summers, they don’t have to split the air from a traditional zoning system, which is archaic.
Some re-routing and enlarging of some of the ductwork was necessary to fix the air flow issues, as well as the addition of another return air grille (since there were now (2) units in the attic). The end result was a Ultra Quiet, Super Slim and Very Aesthetically Pleasing New System with Happy Homeowners!

Another Folsom Heating & Air Replacement - Gas to High Efficient, All Electric Conversion
This project was a Single Story, 1,688 Sq. Ft. home in Folsom. The homeowners had already done a major repair the prior year and didn’t want to risk the HVAC System going out at the wrong time. They weren’t familiar with the new Inverter Heat Pumps and the fact that they are built with Variable Speed Compressors along with Variable Speed Fan Motors, not 1, not 2, but Variable! We offered 3 great options for their home and with the addition of SMUD’s Huge Rebate, it was Door #3 that was the winner! They now have a quieter, more efficient and much more beautiful HVAC System!

Elk Grove Heating & Air Replacement - Gas to High Efficient, All Electric Conversion
This project was a 2-Story, 2685 Sq. Ft. home in Elk Grove. The homeowners had converted to Solar and were looking to convert the remaining systems to all electric. We were able to address air flow issues and provide them with a True Dual Zone System with (2) separate multi speed indoor units to provide Heat & Air uniquely to both the upstairs & downstairs areas, for full comfort control. The homeowners opted to add a Media Filter Box to each indoor unit to help increase air flow and provide much better filtration that can last up to 12 months before changing the almost 5” Filter. They also utilized the SMUD HVAC Rebate for switching from gas to a high efficient all electric system. Another happy homeowner across town in the Elk Grove Area.

Orangevale Heating & Air Replacement - Gas to High Efficient, All Electric Conversion
This project was a 2-Story, 2848 Sq. Ft. home in Orangevale. The homeowners had been limping their old rooftop gas package unit along for the previous two seasons and now had a leak in the outdoor coil. They had to decide to keep repairing or pull the trigger and upgrade. Since they had a gas system, they were able to utilize the SMUD HVAC Rebate for switching from gas to a high efficient all electric system.
